Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) Powders

High-volume production of small intricate parts

 INQUIRE

Metal Injection Moulding is a processing method designed for producing small, intricate, and/or complex shaped parts that grew out of two well-established techniques: the injection molding technology, as applied in the polymer industry, and conventional powder metallurgy. Advantages to this technology include increased complexity for small parts and increased production volume.

Pacific Particulate Materials (PPM) Ltd. offers three basic groups of custom MIM powder blends:

Group I : Custom metal powder blend compositions, such as iron, nickel, and/or copper based.

Group II : Tungsten Carbide powder (cemented carbide) blends with binder metals such as cobalt and/or nickel.  Example: Parts requiring high wear resistance.

Group III : Cermet and/or powder blends such as titanium carbide powder with binder metals including molybdenum, nickel, iron, or combinations of these. Example: Parts requiring high wear resistance and lighter weight than tungsten carbide.

We have extensive experience and are familiar with the requirements of domestic and international Metal Injection Moulding Powder customers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our capable and experienced engineering staff.  Samples for qualification are available upon request.
